About Leslei
What are my educational beliefs?
I believe that every student is intelligent in their own way. I like to tailor my teaching approach to my students’ learning strengths, interests, and personality/energy. I also believe that education should be fun. Creative and interactive lessons are the most memorable for students and are typically the types of lessons that help students effectively.
What are my hobbies and interests?
I like fitness, beauty, hiking, travelling, painting, swimming, spending time with my family and friends, and learning new practical skills.
One fun fact about me!
I have a twin brother and I hold a second-degree black belt in karate.
I am a tutor with 10 years of experience in tutoring/ teaching. I am experienced in helping students who are ESL/ELL learners and students who have special needs (ASD, dyslexia, ADHD, learning disability). I have been in the speech therapy field for 5 years, where I have helped individuals who need extra support with reading, oral communication, comprehension, speaking fluently, and writing. I am also trained in counseling and mindfulness.
