About Jayda
I'm an avid reader and spoken-word writer, as well as an independent performing songwriter. I love the power that English holds, and I've experienced boundaries that can arise without fluency and the ability to self-express. My father speaks English as a second language, immigrating here to Canada at 18 years old, and without the ability to speak fluently, I'd have never seen him work the same job for 23 years.
