About Stephen
Craft Heartfelt Songs with a World-Touring Pro. I’m a lifelong songwriter, guitarist, and performer, devoted to creating music that touches the heart. With decades of experience, I’ve toured the world with Passenger and Lou Rhodes (Lamb), opened for icons like Mark Knopfler, Bonnie Raitt, and Paul Brady, and released music through Wardlaw Music and Ninja Tune. My latest tracks, mixed by a Grammy nominee and mastered by a Grammy winner, resonate with audiences seeking healing and connection. Raised in South West Ireland, I built my craft opening major shows before touring globally from London for four years. Now splitting time between Woodbridge, Suffolk, and Ireland, I perform regularly across East Anglia, delivering raw, poetic energy to every stage. Through my podcast, Tapping the Flow, I explore creativity’s daily practice with artists worldwide. I believe it’s our birthright, often blocked by life’s chaos. In lessons, I’ll help you—beginner or pro—unlock your unique voice with practical songwriting techniques and soulful guidance. From Woodbridge or online, let’s write songs that matter. Book a lesson, and spark your next melody!

From Heart to Stage: Write Songs That Heal Ever wondered how to transform your deepest ideas into lyrics, chords, and stage-ready songs? I’ll guide you there! With over 35 years as a songwriter, guitarist, and world-touring performer (Passenger, Lou Rhodes), I’ve written, recorded, and produced music that heals—myself and others. My mission is to help you unlock your creative voice, whether you’re a beginner with a spark or a pro refining your craft. In our lessons, we’ll: Tap your inner flow: Trust your gut to mine raw emotions and turn them into authentic lyrics, using techniques from my Tapping the Flow podcast. Craft with purpose: Find the right chords and structures to carry your ideas, blending heart and craft for songs that connect. Prep for performance: Shape your work for the stage or studio, drawing on my experience opening for Mark Knopfler and Bonnie Raitt. From my Woodbridge, Suffolk studio or online, we’ll write songs that share healing and positivity. Let’s start with your first line—book a lesson today!
