About Amrit
Hello my name is Amrit, I'm a final year mathematics student at the University of York with over 1 year of industry experience working as a software engineer in Manchester. I tutor Python and Java at the primary school level up to the college/ A-Level.
As well as having a background in programming, I also have a background in teaching and lesson delivery with the Air Training Corps where I was an assistant instructor with their junior shooting team. During my time in the ATC, I was in charge of a cohort of 20 cadets, responsible for delivering lectures and mentorship to young people with a diverse range of abilities, tailoring classes to meet the learning styles of the cadets.

I believe the best teaching methodology is the one that works best for the pupil. Some may prefer book work and working through textbooks, whilst others may prefer a more hands on and visual approach. It is my job as a tutor to identify and cater to these preferred learning styles, which I have plenty of experience doing from my time in the Air Training Corps.
Although the lesson delivery changes for each pupil, I always give all my pupils my full energy, attention and patience. I have a passion for seeing people improve, which is why I choose to be a tutor.
