About Julie
I have been teaching over 25 years. I enjoy teaching and as just as happy helping a pupil to prepare for an exam as i am helping them to play a fun song .
I play all of the instruments I teach up to Grade 8 standard.

I feel that one of my strengths is that I create a calm environment in which pupils feel confident to reach their full potential.
Everyone learns in a different way and I try to tailor the lesson to suit each pupil.
There are some brilliant You Tube videos that pupils can learn a lot from. I do feel though that it is important to build up a good technique before using these tutorials.
It is really good to have the focus of working towards an exam but I think it is important to try to improve and to learn more by practising the exam material instead of aiming to just ‘get the next certificate’.

Julie has been my teacher for nearly 5 years now and i really enjoy going to my flute lessons she has taught me from grade 2 up to working on grade 6 now

When I was looking for a piano teacher for my son, it took me a while to find the right one. My son is very happy with Julie. She is fantastice, flexible, helpful, friendly and patient.
