About Carla
Hi! I’m Carla, a passionate and dedicated primary school teacher who loves working with young learners and helping them reach their full potential.
I have always enjoyed teaching because I love seeing the moment when a learner finally understands something they have been struggling with. For me, teaching is about much more than completing schoolwork. It’s about building confidence, encouraging curiosity and helping children realise that they are capable of learning new things.
I am a patient, friendly and positive person, and I believe that children learn best when they feel comfortable, supported and encouraged. I enjoy finding different ways to explain concepts and making lessons engaging and suited to each learner’s individual needs.
I am particularly interested in tutoring because I enjoy giving learners that extra one-on-one attention that can sometimes be difficult to provide in a busy classroom. I would love the opportunity to help learners strengthen their skills, overcome challenges and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
I look forward to getting to know each learner and helping them feel more confident in their abilities!

My lessons are designed to be fun, supportive and tailored to each learner’s individual needs. As a primary school teacher, I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style and activities to suit each learner.
I offer support to Grades 1–3 learners in Mathematics, English and Afrikaans, including reading, phonics, spelling, comprehension, writing, homework and test preparation.
Lessons focus on helping learners understand concepts, practise their skills and build confidence. I use clear explanations, examples, repetition and age-appropriate activities to make learning enjoyable and less overwhelming.
Whether your child needs extra support with a challenging subject, wants to catch up with schoolwork, needs help preparing for a test, or simply needs more confidence, I will work at their pace and provide patient, individual attention.
Lessons can be arranged in person or online, depending on your location and preference.
I look forward to helping your child learn, grow and feel proud of their progress!
