About Robert
I have been teaching ESL since 2014 in high schools, junior schools, universities and Business English institutes. Because I have taught in numerous countries (Thailand, Peru, Colombia, UK, Morocco) I know why speakers of some languages make certain mistakes and I know how to help them. I also have a lot of experience teaching one-to-one private classes. I have helped prepare university students for further studies in English-speaking countries, helped doctors improve their Medical English and taught Business English to a wide range of corporate clients.

All teaching is done in the target language, although I may be able to help some Spanish students with direct translation. The content and methodology of the lesson depends on the learning style and interests of the student. Generally, my lessons use a variety of media to introduce language in an authentic context. This focus on natural language production is why I like Task-based learning, which sets the student a specific task instead of answering simple grammar questions.
