About Uzma
Education has been my lifelong passion. I am a fully qualified teacher and I have invested a lot of time and hard work in improving the education experience for students. I strongly believe education should not be a burden on students and that it is the teacher’s responsibility to keep students engaged and make learning an interesting process. I am a reflective practitioner with up-to-date knowledge of the UK curriculum.
Teaching SEN (Special Education Need) children is my specialty and my passion. I have been teaching SEN children since 2012 on a one to one basis and I have received a lot of positive feedback from parents. I often teach Literacy and Numeracy through ICT to make their learning interactive. I also try to greatly support them in boosting their confidence.
I am a kind, patient and soft-spoken person. Others describe me as very friendly and enthusiastic towards my work.

I always find ways to make the lessons interesting for students as I plan my lessons in detail using the AFL (assessment for learning) method.
I make use of ICT to make the learning more interactive as well as change between various activities to keep the learner engaged.

Uzma is a well organised and friendly tutor with great teaching skills. She has been tutoring my kids for the last 4 years and I have noticed a great improvement in their studies and their attitude towards learning.
