About Claire
My name is Claire, and I moved to Dublin from Kilkenny over 10 years ago. I have worked in two different schools in Dublin with children ranging from 3 to 13 years old. I currently work with children in an autism-specific setting and love finding creative, individual ways to help each child access education and reach their potential. I’m patient and approachable, and I believe learning should be enjoyable, supportive and tailored to the child.
Tutoring available for primary school children of all ages and abilities, including support with literacy, numeracy, homework, schoolwork, preparation for assessments and general confidence in learning.

I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher with a passion for helping children feel confident and successful in their learning. I currently work with children in an autism-specific setting, which has strengthened my skills in finding different ways to help children access the curriculum and learn in a way that works for them.
My approach is child-centred, patient and encouraging. I believe that children learn best when they feel comfortable, understood and confident. I take time to get to know each child and adapt my teaching to their individual needs, whether they need extra support with a particular area, help building confidence, or simply a different approach to make learning click.
I use a range of practical, visual and hands-on activities alongside more traditional teaching methods, depending on what works best for each child. I especially enjoy finding creative ways to explain something when the first approach hasn't worked!
