About Maeve
I have loads of experience of working at, and teaching different things.
I love variation and the unexpected in my day, which is why teaching and tutoring the creative subjects is such a good fit for me. I made dresses out of toilet paper for my Barbie when I was 5 years old and I have never lost that lust to create and design things; the only thing better than spending time to make something with your hands , is helping other people to do the same.

Lessons are always carefully- structured , you’ll be presented with an overview of how the lesson will be at the start of the lesson and you will know before the lesson what we will do that day.
This might involve you being given a brief, for example to design and make a series of collages based on a certain theme.
This would involve you doing some image research on the topic at the beginning of the session, creating a moodboard to use for inspiration, then my showing you how to do a range of physical skills that you will then practice and develop.
This could be hand or machine embroidery,wet or needle felting, dyeing, painting and bleaching , weaving , knitting or computer-aided design such as Photoshop.
Depending on how many sessions you book, I will tailor a project(S) to fit around the number of sessions you book and what you actually want to get out of the tutoring.This might be a series of mini projects or one longer in-depth one that you want to spend several sessions on.
