About Ariel
I wanted to be a math teacher since I was 13 years old. When I was in community college, my calculus professor asked me to be her instructional assistant, so I took that job and worked for the College of Southern Nevada. At CSN I was also named the Mathematics Outstanding student of the year. I got my bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in math at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Afterwards, I received my master's degree in education from Grand Canyon University. I have just finished my fourth year as a teacher, but I have been tutoring since I was seventeen years old. It started off with family friends or peers. I've also tutored some students from the school I teach at. I have a lot of experience with helping students with math and I can't wait to do this online and potentially help students around the country!

I am an experienced math teacher. I love helping students who want to learn! I like to teach multiple ways to solve one problem to ensure the student can pick the option that makes the most sense to them. If a student learns best using fun games, I know how to make a lesson fun! I also have several challenge problems that are fun for algebra students. It really gets them to learn to think critically which I believe is one of the most important aspects of math! I've been teaching in Las Vegas for four years and have been tutoring for eight. My passion has always been to help students learn math. I love the feeling I get when I know I've helped someone understand a concept they couldn't get before!
