About Anna

Hi! I’m Anna, a 23-year-old primary school teacher from Ireland. I studied at St. Patrick’s College, DCU, and have experience teaching both online and in schools of all levels across the country. I’ve always wanted to be the kind of teacher I would have loved growing up—calm, encouraging, and approachable. I create a relaxed, non-intimidating learning environment where students feel supported and motivated. I love meeting new people and helping them reach their goals through fun, structured, confidence-building lessons. Outside of teaching, I enjoy running, rugby, dancing, reading, cooking, and traveling with friends. Remember every lesson is a fresh opportunity to connect and grow and it’s never too late to start!

About the lesson

What to expect..
As a recent primary school teaching graduate based in Dublin, I bring over 3 years of experience teaching both in-person and remotely to students of all levels. I began teaching online during the COVID-19 pandemic as a student teacher and have since worked in a range of schools across Ireland, including DEIS schools, where I adapted to diverse learning needs and styles.
My teaching style..
Is student-centred, supportive, and engaging. I focus on building confidence in English through personalised, practical lessons tailored to your individual goals—whether you're looking to improve your spelling and grammar, practice writing, or prepare the perfect CV. I use a variety of teaching techniques commonly used in Irish classrooms, including:
1. Scaffolded learning: Breaking down tasks to support gradual, confident progress
2. Formative feedback: Giving regular, clear feedback to guide your improvement
3. Interactive methods: Encouraging active learning with discussion, writing prompts, real-life examples and games
4. Positive reinforcement: Creating a relaxed, encouraging environment—especially helpful for adults returning to education
5. Optional homework: I can provide written tasks to complete between lessons and will mark them with detailed feedback if requested

Lesson Structure
Each session is 50 minutes long and takes place online. Lessons are fully customised to your goals and learning style, with check-ins to help you track your progress and stay motivated.

I teach adult learners aged 18+ who are looking to:
- Improve English spelling, grammar, or writing fluency
- Build confidence in reading and communication
- Return to education or transition into the workplace
