Qualified Primary Teacher offering Maths lessons including subject support, SATs and 11+ preparation

I really recommend Amalie as a tutor. She has been teaching my 10 year old twins for the past 3 years. They had both been slightly behind in Maths, and as we wanted them to sit the 11 plus we felt they would benefit from some one to one tuition. We found Amalie through a tutoring website, and she was able to come to the house to teach which is something that we really wanted. She has been fantastic with the children, really developing their confidence, and as a result their skills have come on leaps and bounds. She has been fantastic at identifying weak areas and finding ways to make sure they understood the work. As the eleven plus approached, she also gave them English comprehension lessons which were invaluable. We recently found out that our children have got into the Grammar schools that we wanted. I really can't recommend Amalie enough.

I highly recommend Amalie as a maths teacher. We have had the pleasure of her teaching our two children for the past 2 years. Her ability to connect with her students and her talent at teaching simple concepts as well as more advanced topics are excellent.
She takes time to identify the children’s weak spots and rebuild the missing blocks if required, she always prepares for the lessons in advance to cover the necessary. She’s always patient, friendly and both our children have fun learning from her.
Amalie is an excellent teacher she makes the lessons fun yet she is firm where necessary.

Amalie taught my daughter last year in preparation for her 11plus exams. Amalie’s initial assessment of my daughter’s strengths and weaknesses was absolutely spot on. She managed to fill in all the gaps in my daughter’s knowledge, during a fairly short period of time, building her confidence and helping her succeed.
Amalie’s approach was organised and calm. She even managed to make studying for 11 plus exam fun! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her lessons with Amalie and was energised by Amalie’s kind and joyful approach to teaching.
As a result, my daughter managed to secure all of her five high school choices she was interested in.
I would happily recommend Amalie as a fantastic tutor.
