About Brianna
My experience in teaching is through delivering training in work places around trauma and attachment informed practice and pyscho-social assessment. I have also supported social work students through academic preparation for exams and essays, as well as supervised social work students during their placement.
I have engaged in provision of informal ESOL classes for refugees and asylum seekers. Another aspect of my work has involved tutoring university students who's first language is not English regarding academic writing. I would say this area is my greatest strength.

I have a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) and I have been working in the social care sector for four years within a range of settings including with young people, survivors of gender-based violence, refugees and asylum seekers, people at risk of or experiencing homelessness, elderly people with dementia, and people with dual diagnosis of mental illness and intellectual disability. Through this I have developed a deep passion across the board, but my current focus is around gender-based violence and refugee/asylum seekers' rights.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching, particularly subjects I am incredibly passionate about. I am still learning and recognise that people seeking a tutor will already have incredible skills and experience. Therefore, my teaching style would be to work with learners' goals and support them in identifying and utilising their existing strengths in aspects of their work they find more challenging. I graduated with first class honours so I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to academic writing and really enjoy supporting people with this in a way that focuses on enabling people to understand what they are learning so they can utilise the tools independently later on.
Outside of all that, I love meeting new people and coming across as friendly with genuine interest in your goals and needs is very important to me.
I hope to hear from you soon!
