About Caroline
As a teacher, I have seven years of experience as a private music instructor with students as young as seven and as old as sixteen. I have experience with neurodivergent students, and those for whom English is their second language. I am comfortable with all kinds of personalities, and I am accustomed to helping students manage the frustration of learning a new skill during instructional time.
In my free time, I love to read and pursue creative writing: I’m always working on a new project.
As a student, I earned straight As throughout high school; 5s on AP Literature and Composition, AP Language and Composition, AP World History, and AP US History exams; and perfect 36/36’s on the ACT reading and writing sections, and your student can too! Please reach out to me any time.

Hi! My name is Caroline McCann. I am a recent graduate of Walt Whitman high school, and I can’t wait to work with your student. I offer support for elementary/middle school ELA skills, high school English class, AP history/civics classes, and on standardized tests! I can help your younger student improve their reading comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and early persuasive writing skills. Additionally, I can help your older student build complex essay writing skills, improve their literary analysis, edit college essays, and prepare for standardized tests.
