About Jack
As a practicing Zen Peacemaker stemming from my community in Vermont, I believe in the importance of consistent implementation and questioning why the work done is even relevant. I love people, dogs, music (I also teach private ukulele lessons), painting, hiking different terrains, and learning new words which can help me to become a better writer.

My lessons are immersive and based on the knowledge the student has at the moment of their arrival. There is no bad place to begin. My methods include working through problems slowly and thoughtfully, and then having the student explain to me their steps along the way, as well as how to continue and why the information is actually valuable. My lessons are for all age groups, and the level of difficulty is prescribed based on the comfort of the student. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am considerably patient, supportive, and have had my own struggles with math in the past, so earnestly empathetic.
