About Steven
I am a professional soccer player who recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a Master of Statistics degree. I studied math and sociology at Colgate University before embarking on a professional soccer career. I have a coached soccer for the past 9 years in addition to playing, and I believe there are many similarities between coaching and tutoring. I am currently in my offseason and looking to fill some of my free time by tutoring.

I have a relaxed, no-pressure, learning-first approach to teaching. I believe giving the students the knowledge, as opposed to the answers, is the best way to cultivate real learning. As someone who learns by doing, I believe in doing a lot of practice problems of varying degrees of difficulty to make sure the content is understood fully. I will guide my students in order to help them come up with solutions on their own.
