About Rohan

I am a hard-working individual who has a large interest in coaching because of my experiences at school. From falling behind in class to excelling at University. I believe we all have the potential to do well if we can identify what’s holding us back.

Finding what this is not always on the top of our minds as our lives are so busy. As a coach, my role is to slow things down, find appropriate solutions that can be applied, so you can stop feeling overwhelmed when your hard work doesn’t translate into grades you want.

*These lessons are for Years 11 - 13 who can’t understand why their hard work is not being converted into grades and who are dedicated to make a change.

My Qualifications include:
- My experience at a top coaching company, specialising in GCSE and A-Level coaching

- My experience putting in lots of hours at school but not seeing any academic progress however on track for a 1st class degree.

- Being an ambassador of my county group where I have learnt a lot about the changing nature of education and useful nurturing techniques.

Lessons structure: (12 weeks)

Week 1 - 2: Identifying why hours are not being converted into grades

Week 3 - 10: Working together on a tailored plan

Week 11 - 12: Catching up every 3 weeks to help the students apply these tools independently.

  • How long have you been interested in the field of well-being and are you practicing?

    I have been interested in the field of well-being since 2021. To improve my understanding and knowledge I have enrolled in free learning courses, read books and become an ambassador for my local county group, where we sought to achieve positive change in education.cI like to practice all sort of techniques from implementing the teachings of top coaches to meditation. I believe that we all have the resources to be able to practice, we just need to find the time.
  • Tell us what your discipline can bring to people's lives.

    The niche area I’ve ignited a passion for is coaching students in education. Particularly, helping students around the idea of maximising our effort. Students including myself may go through school putting in hours on end, questioning themselves on results day what they did wrong. Why? We are told to work hard but not told how to do it. My coaching will bring a new perspective in which the student is able to understand the difference between working hard and working smart and identifying root causes which need addressing in order to maximise our effort and get the results we deserve.
  • Could you provide some instant top tips to help us feel good in body and mind?

    Within education it is important we revitalise both our body and mind. Ways we can do this is my moving the body through physical activity whether that is through sport, playing an instrument or engaging in nature.

    If we are able to find time with physical activity naturally we release endorphins which make us feel good.
  • How would you describe your method as a practitioner?

    As a coach, I am very adaptable because I understand that as a student nothing is linear and there are always challenges. My adaptable approach helps me stay optimistic which fuels students with the confidence they need to do their best.
  • With experience, are there things you have learned or unlearned about yourself or others?

    There is so much to learn about ourselves and others. We are continuously learning whether we realise or not.
  • Do you have a role model, a person who really inspired you?

    I am inspired by the great Phil Jackson. Phil Jackson, was a legendary basketball coach of the Bulls and his ability to get the best out of each player, not just as an individual but as part of a team is what made the bulls incredibly successful.
  • How do you personally relax; what methods work for you?

    It’s important to have a balance in life. Our relaxation, can come from a variety of activities. Personally for me that is watching sport (Anything goes) and catching up with friends.
  • Tell us about a memorable lesson

    One memorable lesson I have learnt has been to reflect. Life goes at 100mph that we hardly give notice to our achievements however we learn to slow down and reflect we find ourselves more content with an achievement.
