About Susan
I am currently working as a homecare worker taking care of elderly patients. I have a 4 year degree in English Literature from the University of Manitoba. I am a mom and a grandma to my 6 year old granddaughter. I trained as a Tesol and Tefel teacher in 2004 and taught in South Korea for 6 years and Mexico for 12 months. My goal in life is to teach afterschool English classes in Mexico when I retire in a few years. In the meantime I would love to practice my teaching skills by offering Conversation classes in my spare time.

I believe we need to practice the language we want to learn in real time, with real people speaking naturally. My classes in Korea focused on fun, role play, repetition and songs. I believe we need to repeat language patterns many times in order to grasp the meaning of the words. We need to practice words in all the contexts in which they will present themselves to us in day to day living.
