About Nancy
I have spent over 30 years in Continuing Education developing programs for both children and adults. Additionally, I have over 10 years working with at-risk youth in a non-profit residential environment. Having raised two children of my own, I have found the importance to developing strong social skills to be essential in raising children to become prepared to face the real world and grow as independent adults.

Developing and building essential life skills helps children and young adults develop proper judgement as well as, fostering good habits. It helps children find different ways of solving problems, building self esteem and helps develop a greater sense of self-awareness. typical lesson plans will include:
cultivating independence, decision-making, self-defense ( not about physical force, but being proactive to prevent problems to respond to bullying or dangerous situations), understanding another person's perspective, time management, coping with failure, critical thinking, facing challenges, and good health and hygiene, among other relatable skill sets. My teaching method is to use conversation and questioning to learn about the student; videos and age appropriate text books, and coaching for success.
