About Leandra
I am an arrentre woman and scientist with specific interest in chemistry, biology and Earth's physical systems, with a back ground in visual art and writing. I have done lab demonstrating for young people, and mentoring in the past. I have also participated in helping people in my degree with learning and study.

My main teaching methodology is that if to make knowledge digestible for students, we must be able to explain complex concepts in simple ways. I believe in hands on communicative teaching methods, with lots of practise. I understand the difficulties that we can come across when we are building the foundation of knowledge, and learning new concepts for the first time, I think it is important to be able to as a tutor, convey these concepts in relatable formats for the student. Formats that can be related back to cultural, social, personal or environmental concepts that are familiar to the student.
