About Ciaran

My name is Ciaran, I'm currently studying journalism at a Russell Group University (Newcastle). Last year I attained a 2:2 class average, and in my A-Levels I attained a B in English Language, a B in Media Studies and a Distinction* in Business. I am very kind-hearted but when it comes to ensuring success I can also become very stern - my teaching style follows this level of leniency

About the lesson

I believe that it is paramount for upcoming generations to become media literate and understand how meanings are encoded through many contexts, and how they further inform our societies in this way. My sessions will be focused on 4 contexts in particular: Political, Cultural, Economic and Social

Ciaran has been an invaluable mentor throughout my journalism journey and their ability to inspire critical thinking and creativity is truly remarkable.
One of the qualities I admire most about ciaran is their commitment to providing personalized feedback. Their constructive critiques have helped me refine my writing style, improve my storytelling, and develop a deeper understanding of journalistic principles. ciaran has also created a supportive and inclusive learning environment. I am grateful for the opportunity to have learned from such a dedicated educator

Because I am willing to dedicate my spare time as a university student, I expect the same dedication from all of my students. I have also spent time acquiring resources that are gonna help students pass their A-Levels and GCSEs in Media Studies and so my pricing is reflective of this.
