About Andrew

I am a qualified and specialised saxophone and clarinet tutor from the UK. I have developed adult learners from beginners to confident players for 3 years. I have 10 years playing experience.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Darien, November 2018:
'Andrew has been my saxophone tutor for a year now, recommending him for anyone who is looking for money well spent. He's friendly, accommodating to my schedule, and simply a great teacher. I was struggling at the beginning with learning different variations to practice. Andrew was patient and encouraging. If you need a reliable sax tutor, I absolutely recommend!'

Catherine, March 2019:
'Andrew is patient, well-prepared and relaxed tutor. Very helpful in breaking problems down into easier chunks, and a good mix of activities during lessons. Highly recommended.'

Milla (Fitzrovia), May 2019:
'Andrew has helped fuel my passion for the clarinet. He is a clear and helpful tutor and very relaxed. Great teaching style and great guy!'

Janette (Marylebone), June 2019:
'Andrew covers the all important and necessary techniques that has got me playing short saxophone melodies in just 2 lessons - There’s no rushed teaching and he makes sure that instructions are understood before moving ahead - Andrew is an extremely reliable and amicable saxophone tutor'

Fai (Chelsea), June 2019:
'I would highly recommend Andrew. The lessons were very beneficial and worth the money. Andrew has excellent teaching skills and very relaxed and made things looks easy. Fai.'

Sumayyah (St John's Wood), November 2020:
I have had quite a few clarinet lessons with Andrew. He's very patient and knowledgeable. Andrew goes through a lot of musical theory and tempo, therefore very thorough. I would recommend for sure.

Clem (Camberwell), November 2020:
'Andrew is incredibly organised for every lesson and teaches in a calm manner. He caters his lessons to what you want to learn and the music you want to play :)'

About the lesson

I have 10+ years playing experience, performing experience and 3 years teaching adult learners privately. I enjoy sharing musical knowledge to others. I have reviews showing a track record of turning beginner learners into skilled players. I offer the 1st lesson for free for you to see if the saxophone or clarinet is for you.

Lessons are set out to fit your own music interests. I teach you the practical skills of learning to play the instrument and the theory side of music. Theory involves teaching how to read written music and understanding time and rhythm in music.

PRICES
30 minutes: £25
1 hour: £15

Lessons generally take place in Central London
I can offer to travel to you for lessons, or do lessons through Skype or Zoom.

I have been friends with Andrew for many years now and thus, I believe he would be an excellent tutor for any budding saxophonists. I have seen him perform both at various concerts and on social media and so, he clearly has a wealth of experience and is very confident in his playing. He's a very patient person so I'm sure his approach for any of his students would be very thorough to ensure that they have the best possible learning experience.
