About Rafael
My experience as a teacher centers primarily on undergraduate education, but I have also given graduate courses and informal classes (conversation in English). I have also tutored final research works for students in the natural sciences, another way of teaching.
My strengths as a teacher come from my complex background in the sciences and humanities. Specifically, I have taught the following courses:

Research Methodology (undergraduate and graduate)
Techniques for the Analysis of Carnivore Diet (graduate)

Biologist and philosopher, with experience in research as well as in undergraduate and graduate teaching (in particular ecology and philosophy of science). I offer support for learning at all educational levels, from elementary school to university. My approach to teaching / learning is maieutics, ie the Socratic method based on a dialogue (written or oral, as appropriate) that includes questions whose response process serves as guide for the learning process. My motto is that learning involves understanding.
Among the tools I use to facilitate comprehension are explanations, analogies and solving practical problems, always adapted to the individual student.
