About Marva

I have always had a passion for science and thoroughly enjoyed studying Biology, Chemistry throughout school. My interest in science led me to pursue a career as a scientist, where I get to apply my scientific knowledge in a real-world setting.

Alongside my love for science, I really enjoy helping and mentoring others. I find it rewarding to explain difficult concepts, share my knowledge and help people grow in confidence.

I would love to support students who may be struggling with science, preparing for exams or simply wanting to improve their understanding. My aim is to make learning enjoyable, approachable and encouraging, while helping each student achieve their full potential.

My lessons are designed to make science easier to understand, enjoyable and engaging for every student. Having studied Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level and now working as an Analytical Radiochemist, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world scientific experience to my teaching.

I understand that everyone learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit the student’s individual needs, abilities and learning pace. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, looking to improve your grades or preparing for upcoming exams, I’m here to help.

My lessons focus on breaking down complicated scientific concepts into simple, easy-to-follow explanations, using practical examples, exam-style questions and revision techniques to build confidence and understanding.

I aim to create a friendly, relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not just to help students achieve better grades, but also to develop their confidence and genuine interest in science!
