About Avgust

Since my childhood I was surrounded by creativity, I drew, I sculpted. This path naturally led me to architecture college and theater environment where I gained fundamental knowledge and experience. Today I am a painter, sculptor and art coach, and have been sharing my creative method with people of all ages and cultures for over 10 years. It is especially valuable to me to see a person's individuality unfold as they find something new in themselves or remember something that has always been in them. I believe that creativity can fill life with joy, and I like to be a guide in this process. In my classes I try to awaken sincere feelings, give freedom and space for self-expression. The most important thing for me is the path itself, the process of creation. It is the process that makes the result alive and fulfilling. Outside of teaching, I create sculptures from recycled wood, sew toys, am fond of collages, love to cook and discover new directions in art and life. My dream is to develop my own method of teaching creativity, accessible to everyone who wants to be themselves and create freely.

About the lesson

Hi, my name is August Kisten, I am a practicing sculptor, artist and teacher. I welcome creatives of all ages in my online workshop, it's a safe space where you can explore your ideas and where I will help bring them to reality. Through video links and my experience and expertise, I help develop abilities, support personal interests and create classes based on your inner world, without grades, boundaries or pressure. In a world where there is too much information and too little silence, I invite you to stop, listen to yourself and start creating from within freely, honestly, truly. My method is based on the Montessori method, the works and research of B.M. Nemensky and my own experience of teaching creativity for more than 10 years. Working in a leading cultural center in Russia, in private kindergartens and in volunteer initiatives taught me that there is no standard black and white approach. I try to find my own approach to each individual as a separate universe. It is important for me to show that there are no perfect or not perfect drawings, interests, skills, it is important that they are created out of personal curiosity and interest.
