About Shaela
Hi, my name is Shaela da Costa, I am a 19 year old, second year psychology student at UCT. I have a passion for helping and working with children, and I plan to go into child psychology/play therapy once I have completed my studies. I have special skills in English, History, Biology and Geography and I am very good at assisting with studying preparation and essay writing. I am interested in teaching younger students, as I am especially good with, and experienced in, working with younger children. I am very patient, calm and encouraging and I believe in building children’s confidence in themselves and their own abilities.

Hi! I am a second year psychology student at UCT, I am very good with kids and I plan to go into the field of child psychology. I have experience with tutoring as I worked as an AuPair for two young boys last year, I also helped them with studying and homework. I am especially helpful with test and exam preparation and note making, homework, essay writing, spelling and grammar, timetables and organisation. With my tutoring methods, I aim to help children build their confidence and to develop study and problem-solving skills that will assist them all through their school experience. I am available for grades 0 to 8, in the afternoons from Tuesday to Thursday, and all day on Mondays and Fridays.
