About Jennifer
I currently work in a fun, vibrant primary school where I work with students with behaviours such as ADHD, Autism and Global Delay.
I find ways to make the curriculum more accessible for my students, including teaching at a slower pace, using items such as flash cards, whiteboards, counters and visual aids.
I aim to make learning a bit more fun and easier to understand whilst building confidence and resilience!

I use a praise-led approach to encourage pupils to keep trying, and to emphasise the good rather than focusing on the negative.
Corrections are done gently and patiently, with a focus on building confidence, and encouragement of independent thinking independently.
I have a year's worth of experience working with SEN students aged 6-8, doing interventions in small groups of between 1 and 5. I find working one to one with a student means I can form a better connection and really get to understand what that individual needs in order to be successful.
