About Malaina
I am currently a senior chemistry student at UT Austin who is interviewing at medical schools, so I have completed extensive math and science curriculum. Subjects include algebra, pre-calculus and calculus, statistics, chemistry, biology, and other sciences. I have 3 years of experience tutoring 6-8th graders in math and science. One-on-one tutoring has allowed me to gauge the needs of each student and tailor my teaching style to fit their personality. Serving as Outreach Officer for the UT American Chemical Society, I have led K-12 STEM outreach activities for the last 1.5 years, implementing creativity to teach math and science subjects through engaging activities and science demonstrations. In this experience, I learned how to make STEM subjects accessible for various ages and science backgrounds.
