About Raphael
I am a Senior pursuing my Undergraduate Computer Science degree at The University of Texas at Dallas. In regards to academics, I am passionate about Mathematics, Writing, and Programming related subjects. However outside of academics, I enjoy cooking for friends, playing soccer, and going on hikes. My passion to tutor students stemmed from my experience with tutoring both high school and college freshmen students with their Calculus and Python classes. Due to my current status as a Junior Computer Science student, I feel confident in my ability to tutor in the aforementioned classes and so much more. Education is often regarded as the key to a brighter future, however many students still face obstacles that impede their confidence in their academic performance. As a student myself, I understand what it is like to feel "stuck" and face hardships in my academics. However, my goal is to utilize my skills and experience to empower students with the confidence and ability to take control of their academic journey and in turn change their future for the better.

My approach as a tutor is based on breaking down the concepts into smaller, "bite-sized" pieces and then reviewing those concepts through practice problems. This works particularly well with Mathematic subjects of all education levels, however the lessons that I plan to tutor are geared more towards Mathematic subjects such as Algebra, Trigonometry,Precalculus, Calculus 1 and Calculus 2 for students in highschool and college (undergraduate).
