For writing, I will guide students through brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and final polishing. For reading comprehension, we would focus on active strategies like annotation, identifying core themes, and breaking down complex passages.
A typical lesson plan would start with Check in and Goal Setting (5-10mins) where we go over what you want to achieve during the session and look over recent homework or upcoming assignments. Next, would be Core Focus (35-40 mins) where we dive into the targeted practice, whether that's analyzing challenging literature or working in an essay paragraph by paragraph. Finally would be Wrap-up and Action Plan (10 mins) where we summarize key takeaways and establish clear, manageable next steps before next meeting.
