I take a student-centered approach towards learning whatever material we are working with. Students will discuss their work with me; where they are strong and where they struggle and I try to find the core of any learning discrepancy.
When tutoring Math, I try to find where gaps might exist in a student's experience and fill those gaps.
When tutoring Science, I try to make connections to the natural world that are meaningful for students.
When tutoring English, I try to make connections to big ideas, to to literary themes, and to every day interpersonal life.
