About Meghan

Hello! I am a practicing Registered Midwife, Senior University Lecturer, and University Degree Programme Leader with extensive experience directing undergraduate healthcare programmes, designing clinical curricula, and sitting on university selection panels.

Midwifery and healthcare degrees in the UK are among the most competitive courses to get into, with hundreds of applicants competing for every cohort. Having spent years managing degree programmes, assessing OSCEs, and interviewing candidates using Values-Based Recruitment (VBR), I know exactly what university admissions teams look for and how to help you build authentic, standout confidence.

Specialist Support for Disabled Students:
A major focus of my academic career and teaching practice is championing accessibility and inclusion in healthcare higher education. I specialise in supporting disabled students (in particular deaf students: I am fluent in British Sign Language) as they navigate both academic study and the unique pressures of university admissions and clinical placements.

Whether you need tailored strategies to excel in time-pressured interviews, guidance on applying with reasonable adjustments, or structured support for academic writing, I provide an empowering, accessible space designed around how you learn best.

Areas I Specialise In:
University Admissions, situational judgment scenarios, NHS Values, and NMC Code integration - with tailored interview strategies for disabled applicants.

Accessibility & Inclusive Academic Support: Personalised coaching on managing workload, navigating reasonable adjustments for university, and adapting study strategies for clinical and academic demands.

Undergraduate & Postgraduate Academic Guidance: Essay structuring, critical appraisal, reflective writing models (like Gibbs or Driscoll), research methodologies, and OSCE exam preparation.

Personal Statement Strategy: Structuring compelling UCAS statements that highlight your unique strengths, motivation, and realistic understanding of the profession.

My coaching is practical, encouraging, and structured around the real-world criteria used by UK universities.

For University Applicants (Interview Prep & Personal Statements):

Real Scenarios: We work through authentic MMI stations (role-play, ethical dilemmas, teamwork, and motivation).

Feedback that Transforms: You’ll receive immediate, actionable feedback on your communication style, body language, and how to effectively weave professional standards into your answers without sounding rehearsed.

No Generic Answers: I help you find your unique narrative so your passion and aptitude shine through naturally.

For Current Undergraduate Students:

Demystifying Academic Writing: We break down complex assignment briefs, master reflective writing models (like Gibbs or Driscoll), and strengthen critical appraisal skills.

Stress-Free Environment: Sessions are a safe space to ask questions, work through challenging A&P concepts, or practice clinical scenarios before exams.

Note on Professional Compliance: To uphold strict academic integrity and university compliance rules, I do not offer tutoring, proofreading, or interview coaching to current applicants of or students enrolled at Middlesex Univeristy, nor do I provide ghostwriting services.
