About Jake
I'm well versed in the computing industry - I've worked and succeeded in the following sub-industries:
CyberSecurity, Telecommunications, Big Data, Software Engineering, and I'm currently an AWS consultant.
In my spare time I'm a gamer, a Jiu Jitsu practitioner, and a father.
I started University quite late - originally I wanted to study science!
University was difficult, Aston (in the UK) has a great reputation for a high Computer Science drop out rate. I spent a lot of time trying to find a learning method which suited me - from reading, to online challenges, to all-nighters. Nothing worked. I didn't have the tools, I had to get them by talking to other people.
I'm a regular guy. If I feel I can't help you, I'll tell you. I'm not looking to create a top 1% Python Guru out of you, I'm going to be giving you skills that won't die if Python does.

I'm looking to give-back to those on a similar journey. Ideally looking to help University students or passionate upcoming superstars!
Programming in general is quite simple - I'm looking to give individuals the building blocks to succeed in the industry and provide an insight into my approach.
I'll be covering primarily Python in it's basic form, but also happy to dive into:
Classes & Objects, Threading, Regex, Efficiency and the most important - Usability.
I'll only be available for tutoring on weekends & Tuesday / Thursday @ 5pm.
Open to tutor anybody, as long as they are focused and willing.
I will assess the knowledge of the individual and create a curriculum with the intention that, at the end of it, they will have the tools to use Python for almost any use case.
