About Charne
I am a second-year BSc Human Genetics student at the University of Pretoria, and I achieved seven distinctions in matric. I have always loved Physical Sciences because it helps us understand how the world around us works.
Many learners believe Science is too difficult simply because they were taught to memorise formulae and facts without understanding the bigger picture. I want to change that. I enjoy breaking complicated topics into simple, manageable steps and helping learners see how the different concepts connect.
I believe that once learners truly understand the reasoning behind the work, Physical Sciences becomes far less intimidating and much more enjoyable. My goal is to help every learner build confidence, improve their results and discover that Science can actually be exciting.

My lessons are tailored to each learner’s needs, whether they need help understanding difficult concepts, completing calculations, preparing for tests and examinations, or improving their overall confidence in Science.
I teach Natural Sciences to primary school learners and Physical Sciences to high-school learners in both English and Afrikaans. During a typical lesson, I explain concepts in simple language, work through examples step by step, and then guide the learner through practice questions to ensure they understand the work.
I also provide helpful notes and revision material that learners can use between lessons. My teaching style is patient, supportive and interactive, and I encourage learners to ask questions without feeling embarrassed. My goal is to help learners understand the reasoning behind each answer instead of only memorising information.
