About Douglas

I'm Douglas Geronimo, Singing and Harmonica Teacher Graduated in Music by FIAM FAAM in São Paulo - SP. I teach Harmonica and Sing since 2010 working in schools, institutes and privately. My teaching approaches the playful development in music. In other words, we learn by playing and singing a lot of music! The technique does not teach anyone anything. It just improves. So all technical education will always be focused on your reality and your interests!

About the lesson

In Singing classes we will see: - Learn about voice aspects: Know your instrument. How does it work? Where does the voice come from? What is Voice? After all, you are the instrument. - Physiognomy of the Voice: Vocal tract, soft palate, diaphragm... These are often unknown terms, as well as many others but fundamental for full vocal knowledge. All will be addressed properly as their development and gradually; - Breathing Techniques: By far the greatest difficulty of all beginners and intermediate practitioners; - Singing Styles: Belting, R&B, Rock, Pop and Gospel are among my vocal specialties. You will learn the main techniques of each style such as vibrato, melisma, drive and other characteristic vocal ornaments; - Timbre and Resonance: You will see once and for all that singing is not a gift. It's purely a physical action, muscle coordination. You will learn how to make a good sound with your voice no matter what your voice is; - Repertoire: The most important! We did pretty well! On this first class we could know better each other and I believe we're gonna work a great job with the voice. He's got a nice ear and good perception.
