About Zia
Singing has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and for 9 years I’ve been guiding singers toward their performance dreams. With a BM in Jazz Vocal Performance, I bring both technical expertise and a deep love for musical theater to every lesson. I work with all levels—students just starting out, college music majors, and working professionals alike. My focus areas include belt technique, stage presence, and the vocal agility needed for quick character shifts in Broadway-style performances. We’ll also explore character acting through song, connecting your voice to your emotions. You’ll strengthen your skills in ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory while building confidence in your sound. Every lesson is adapted to your unique needs and voice type. I believe in safe, healthy vocal techniques that support growth and longevity. Together, we’ll make sure you don’t just sing—you perform. Let’s get you ready for the big stage.

My teaching is built to support singers at every stage, especially The Soloist in Training and The Adult Beginner. I help you find your unique voice and make it the best it can be.
We start with core skills—breath control, resonance, and projection. These give your singing a strong base. Tone shaping helps you color your sound to match the song. You’ll learn belting for boldness, head voice for clarity, and mixed voice for smooth transitions.
Lessons are fun, relaxed, and tailored to you. I create exercises that target your needs, from agility to range building. I make sure every step feels achievable, not overwhelming.
We also focus on performance, teaching you how to express emotion and hold attention. You’ll leave lessons feeling confident, motivated, and excited to sing. Together, we’ll unlock the full beauty of your voice.
