About Betsy
I am a passionate flute instructor with over 11 years of experience teaching diverse learners. I teach beginners, intermediate, and advanced students from schools, colleges, and professional backgrounds.
My teaching method is clear, supportive, and goal-focused. I start by strengthening breathing control, embouchure formation, tone quality, and finger accuracy. As students improve, I introduce expressive elements and advanced technical skills.
I also teach related subjects such as music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, and ear training to build complete musical knowledge. I believe regular feedback and structured practice are essential for growth.
My unique strength is motivating students to stay consistent and confident in their musical journey. My goal is to help every student become a skilled and expressive flute player.

I carefully adapt my teaching strategies to match each student’s learning preferences and speed of understanding. Flexibility enables me to tailor repertoire and lesson focus based on performance objectives or personal interests.
Collaboration encourages students to actively participate in shaping their musical journey. Positivity creates a welcoming environment where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities.
Along with flute instruction, I also teach music theory basics, sight-reading, rhythm studies, ear development, and stage confidence skills to nurture complete musicianship.
