About Clement
My name is Clement, a Sociology Tutor. I am currently pursuing a BSc in Sociology at Prince Abubakar Audu University, graduating in the top 10 of my class, and a BSc in Business Administration at the University of the People (GPA 3.83). My teaching journey started in 2022, and since then, I’ve tutored over 75 students both online and offline. What started as classroom support at Divine Intervention Academy grew into a full-time passion for helping students understand, love, and excel in Sociology and Government. I believe learning should be practical and personal. I simplify abstract sociological theories with real-life Nigerian examples and relatable stories. Whether it's understanding political institutions or social behavior, I break it down in ways that click. I am a unique tutor who has tutored over 65 students for external examinations, with a relatively high pass rate. I am currently a College senior (graduating in August) with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology.
As a tutor, I teach with understanding, making sure that my students don't just understand what I teach them, but how to apply these lessons to their lives. More importantly, I teach my students using real-life scenarios and well-researched case studies for them to analyze.
Another important thing I do as a tutor is to always listen to my students. I help them balance their academics with other aspects of life, and I also push them to be the best at what they do.
The typical length of a lesson is 1 hour. The first lesson will be to familiarize myself with the student and tell them about my rules and how I will monitor their progress. For subsequent sessions, the first ten minutes will be to revise what we learned the last time, the next forty minutes will be to teach them, and we will talk about the new things we have learned in that session and give extra homework (usually, a practical case study), and that will be all for that day.
My lessons are for high school students and College juniors. I want to set them up for success in Sociology, Government, Social Work, Politics, etc.
