About Matthew
I have a profound respect for education and, for a time, I planned to be a professor. I have an affinity for teaching. I'm better than most at understanding what someone isn't understanding and why. I graduated Summa Cum Laude earning a B.S. in computer science with a minor in mathematics. I have professional experience from IBM, Salesforce, Phoenix Technologies, and S2 Global as a Software Engineer. I was enrolled as a Ph.D. student at Tufts University where I received a stipend and tuition waiver in exchange for tutoring computer science undergraduates for twenty hours a week. (I had to take a medical leave after two years to address my health and did not return to Tufts, so I did not complete my Ph.D.) I've been programming since I was 13 years old and I'm 41 today.
