As a first year CS major, it is really easy to feel like you're behind. Asking questions in class can be very scary. Working with Chris didn't feel like that though. He creates a good environment for you to ask any questions you have and builds up his explanations from super basic examples! My lessons with him really helped me both pass my CS class and gain more confidence in my skills.
