About Ashley
As a Software Engineering senior, the world of tech wasn't always the direction I was headed. My transcript is full of courses in sociology, literature, pre-law, legal reading and writing, research, and more. My associate's degree is in Paralegal Studies. But you can basically pick a spot on a list of majors, and I will most likely have taken courses within that discipline.
While attending college over the years, I've spent many an hour going over other people's bodies of work. I also worked as a senior editor for an indie publishing house for five years, working my way up from being a proofer to a copy editor and then finally, a senior staff editor. I love to edit. I love to read. I love to delve into other people's minds as I read their words laid out before me.
The written word is so important! Let's make yours count.

I think spitballing is an important part of the writing process. While the traditional method of outlining and writing out your ideas is always great, sometimes a discussion can be a crucial part of the process.
Carrying an idea throughout your piece is essential. Making sure you are weaving a story on every page, even if it isn't a fiction piece is important, and I can help with that. Continuity can make or break your piece.
I generally like a discussion and to go over drafts. I can check for structure, grammar, spelling, flow, and more. I can help you make a great body of work.
