About James
Hi, I’m James. I’ve spent the past 16 years speaking to people, leading conversations, and connecting with people from different backgrounds. Along the way, I discovered something I really enjoy: helping people find their voice.
That’s one reason I love teaching Mandarin. I don’t want my students to simply “know Chinese”—I want them to actually use it, enjoy conversations, and feel confident when speaking with real people.
My lessons are relaxed, practical, and personalized to you. We’ll talk about things that matter to you, practice real-life situations, and learn naturally along the way. Mistakes are welcome here—they’re part of learning.
