Clarity and simplicity of language is also important. Deep understanding of subject and concepts is essential, which comes by virtue of practice by the teacher himself/herself. Flow of discussion / session should be structured such that basic concepts are explained first, followed by more complex items. Alongside, there has to be a well designed stream of exercises.
