About Shelia

Working with students who vary from those catching up to top candidates is the standard for my classes. I diagnose gaps in your game quickly, and frankly, my 5 years of experience means I spot weaknesses fast.

Pattern recognition, calculation and visualisation, attacking play, opening principles, game analysis, endgame technique, and blunder checking are my primary tools for your growth. Having taught 488 students, I have seen almost every mistake you can possibly make. You get direct feedback.

I build up your skills so you stop losing games to simple oversights. I am ready to sharpen your intuition.

About the lesson

Having fun happens when you start winning more games. You deserve to understand the logic behind every single move on the board rather than just memorising strings of variations. My training in pure mathematics at the University of Cambridge informs the way I analyse positions and construct deep tactical plans for you. Years of experience 5 allows me to adapt quickly when you hit a wall.

Expect 8 total segments of focus during our time together. We will examine your specific blunder patterns to ensure you stop repeating old errors. You will see your game improve as we refine your endgame technique and overall board vision. My goal is to equip you with the mental tools required to dominate your future opponents.
