About Michayla
About Me & My Mission Tutoring is a true passion of mine and a way for me to give back to the community. Having ADHD myself, I know firsthand that learning isn’t always linear—I understand what it’s like to process things differently, and I bring that deep empathy into every session.
My ultimate mission is to ensure every student is supported, thoroughly taught, and set up to pass. I am completely dedicated to working with all learning styles, and I am proud to offer a patient, understanding environment for students who have ADHD, autism, or other neurodivergent needs.
Classroom Expectations To maintain a safe, focused, and respectful learning environment where students can thrive, I have a strict policy against cursing, slurs, or vulgarity during our sessions.

I specialize in tutoring English for students in 3rd through 5th grade. However, I am more than happy to accommodate advanced 2nd graders who need a challenge or 6th graders who require extra support.
My primary teaching methodology centers on strategic repetition and simplification. I reinforce core concepts by introducing them clearly, having the student repeat them back to me, and utilizing catchy acronyms to make rules short, memorable, and easy to apply.
Lessons are collaborative and adapt daily to meet the student's immediate needs. Some days feature dynamic PowerPoint presentations that we edit together in real time, adding custom tips and notes as we go. On other days, we will review the student's current schoolwork and assignments. I encourage students to point out exactly what confuses them. From there, we strip the topic down to its absolute fundamentals so they understand both its real-world purpose and how to master it.
Teaching students how to analyze state test questions, decode tricky prompts, and apply specific test-taking strategies to overcome exam anxiety.
Breaking down the exact structure of informative, argumentative, and creative essays. Students will learn how to gather evidence, write effective transitions, elaborate on their points, and draft high-quality essays efficiently under time constraints.
