About Maj
Hello, my name is Maria, and I’m from the Philippines. I’m an experienced ESL teacher with over nine years of teaching experience, working with students from different backgrounds and age groups, particularly adults and professionals.
Throughout my teaching career, I’ve developed strong skills in communication, lesson planning, student engagement, and adapting my teaching style to different learning needs. I’m also TEFL-certified and have experience teaching conversational English, Business English, and IELTS preparation.
What I believe sets me apart is that I don’t simply teach English, I help students become more confident communicators. I’m patient, encouraging, and I create a comfortable environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and improve.

About My English Reading Lessons
My English reading lessons are designed to help students read more confidently, understand what they read, and express their ideas clearly.
We work on reading fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence structure using engaging and age-appropriate texts. I also encourage students to discuss what they read so they can build both reading skills and speaking confidence.
