I have scored perfectly in the Math sections of both the SAT and the ACT, and have successfully taken courses up to Differential Equations at Georgia Tech and have never received below an A. I think practice is the best form of learning; particularly with quantitative fields, and formula-based questions (like most SAT and high-school level math courses involve), spaced repetition of topics is the best way to learn.
Typically, lessons will start with the student's review of topics of concern, and will then pivot to refining and practicing those skills. As someone who scored an 800 on the math section of the SAT and a 36 on the section in the ACT, I can virtually guarantee score improvements on high-school level courses and standardized testing!
