About Alexandre

I am studying languages at university with the aim of becoming a teacher in secondary school. I have never had any difficulty in passing my English lessons and learned it largely on my own when I was 15 years old. I am now at C2 level (although calling myself perfect bilingual would be very pompous) and have already given English lessons to children aged 4 to 12 at l'Air Pur in Seraing. I think I am very flexible and very patient. I am here mainly out of passion and willingness to practice what I hope is my calling.
In my opinion, everyone should have the right to learn a language such as English. It is indeed a very practical way to open up to other horizons and other people. It is spoken almost all over the world after all, and the most interesting parts of the internet are in English.

About the lesson

I'm more of the type to tailor my lesson to what the student wants to learn. I like originality and am open to ideas. I believe that dialogue in the language learned in the course is one of the best ways to study and retain. I can give English lessons up to the level of the end of secondary school. A typical course would start with a short conversation in English in order to set up the "atmosphere" of the course and would then be followed by an introduction to the subject or a reminder (if the topic had already been addressed during a former lesson). I give the key words / phrases to practice during the lesson, make them repeat and remember, and start exercises. It can be as much a scenario as a series of sentences to be translated or completed. The course then ends with a little "brainstorming" which summarizes the material seen during this lesson and a conversation (or a little game depending on age or demand). I work with the student taking notes but I can also prepare printed exercises. It depends. The student can constantly ask me for help but will still have to make the effort to try with what he knows as much as possible.
