About Elia
I am studying for the second year at the University of Jyväskylä. I will focus my studies especially on S2 students and adult students. I’m about halfway through my undergraduate degree. I have experience in mentoring and I enjoy working with learners of any age.
My interests are poems and classical literature. I have taken additional creative literature courses, so for example, an in-depth examination of fictional literature is completely doable.

My course is for all those who want to learn how to improve their Finnish. We go through the basics and communication situations through repetition and speaking aloud. You can also delve into the Finnish language up to the YKI level.
We will also do writing assignments and some creative writing. Interpretation of videos and instructions is also part of the teaching. Depending on the student's interest, I can also give homework, which we always go through together.
We start with the basics (alphabet, numbers) and after that we can move beyond the basics. Particular attention is paid to the accumulation of vocabulary and with the help of real examples we study the structures and spelling of the language.
The supporting language is English.
